James Cameron Offers Update On Avatar Sequels And HFR Possibility
After striking it big with Avatar in 2009, James Cameron is now devoting pretty much all of his time to developing not one, not two, but three sequels that he hopes to shoot back-to-back-to-back in order for them to hit theaters in 2016, 2017 and 2018, respectively. For those keeping track at home, that's a seven year gap between the first film and its first sequel, meaning that Cameron will have to keep people interested in visiting Pandora again after spending so much time away.

Edgar Wright Finds Familiar Faces For Ant-Man Composer And Cinematographer
After years of production delays, Edgar Wright is finally moving full steam ahead with Ant-Man, his upcoming superhero flick for Marvel Studios (arriving in theaters on July 17, 2015). The film stars Paul Rudd in the title role as Scott Lang, with Michael Douglas as Hank Pym (the original Ant-Man) and Evangeline Lilly in the female lead (which we're hoping is Janet van Dyne AKA Wasp). Today, we have a few more names to add to the production, though they might not be as exciting as the casting choices were.

If I could sum up the Batman vs. Superman casting in one word, it would be: divisive. Think about it, has there been a film in recent memory that's suffered as much backlash about its casting decisions as this movie has? First came the bombshell that Ben Affleck will be playing Batman, then Fast & Furious star Gal Gadot signed on as Wonder Woman. Most recently, Jesse Eisenberg was announced as Superman's nemesis, Lex Luthor. Every casting choice has come under fire and now, one of the film's stars is firing back.

Chris Pratt Suits Up In 3 New Guardians Of The Galaxy Images
Anticipation for Marvel Studios' upcoming sci-fi adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy is at an all-time high as we await tomorrow's trailer debut (which premieres on Jimmy Kimmel Live at 11:35 PM EST). Hitting theaters on August 1, it's undoubtedly Marvel's riskiest bet yet, considering it features a ragtag group of intergalactic ex-cons led by Chris Pratt, who will play Peter Quill, AKA Star-Lord. He'll be joined by the green-skinned Gamora (Zoe Saldana), a talking raccoon named Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper), the walking tree-man Groot (Vin Disel) and the dangerous Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista).

Marvel’s Phase 3 Plans Finally Revealed?
One of the pitfalls of having a cinematic universe is that fans are always looking ahead rather than focusing on what's right in front of them. We're only two films into Marvel Studios' Phase 2, which began with Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World, but that hasn't stopped us from speculating on what the studio may have up their sleeve, especially since President of production Kevin Feige says that they've got things mapped out right up until 2021.

Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along-Blog 2 Will Exist, Says Jed Whedon
Can you believe it's been six years since Joss Whedon's 3-part supervillain musical, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along-Blog was released? Written by Whedon, his brothers Jed and Zack, and Jed's wife Maurissa Tancharoen during the Writer's Strike in 2008, Dr. Horrible was produced exclusively for internet distribution and became a huge cult hit; winning a few awards (including a Creative Arts Emmy) and reaching over 50 million viewers. Like most of Whedon's projects, it created a pretty devoted fan base, and Whedon himself announced that a sequel was in the works all the way back in 2009. Unfortunately, that sequel seems to be stuck in development hell (another thing Whedon famously juggles with), but according to his brother Jed it is going to happen. Eventually.

Adult Swim Renews Rick and Morty For Season 2
With the future of his NBC comedy Community once again in doubt, Dan Harmon can rest assured that at least one of his shows will get another season. Deadline reported earlier today that Adult Swim has renewed Rick and Morty, created by Harmon and Justin Roiland, for a second season. The twisted, inventive, brilliantly dark and incredibly funny sitcom features Rick, a mad, alcoholic, dimension-hopping scientist dragging his dim grandson Morty along with him on crazy and completely dangerous missions through the universe.
