Pokemon X & Y Players Get Free Torchic Starting October 12th
Good news for those planning to pick up Pokemon X or Pokemon Y when they make their North American debut on October 12. Torchic, one of the three "starter" Pokemon that the player could choose to kick off their adventure back in Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire on the Game Boy Advance, will be made available as a free bonus download via Nintendo Network starting on the game's launch day.

Episode 1 Of The Walking Dead Is Now Free On XBLA & PSN
If you're an Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 owner who has been on the fence for some reason when it comes to playing last year's hit episodic adventure game, The Walking Dead, you now have less of an excuse to not check it out. The first episode of the series, A New Day, is now free to fully download on both Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.

New Kirby Game Announced For The Nintendo 3DS
During today's Nintendo Direct stream, a surprise announcement was made in the form of a new game in the long-running Kirby series, exclusively for the 3DS. No concrete title or deep gameplay details were given, but a brief trailer has been released, along with a teaser at the end simply stating, "Coming 2014," which gives us a vague idea of the timeframe we can expect to see the game released.

Grand Theft Auto Online Struggling At Launch, Corrupting Single Player Saves
Big online games having issues when they first launch is something that gamers have grown used to, and the trend seems to be continuing with today's patch for Grand Theft Auto V that enables the hotly anticipated Grand Theft Auto Online. Users are reporting connection issues, system freezes, and crashes on the first mission alone in droves. But the most serious issue being reported by some is the fact that for whatever reason, playing GTA Online is corrupting single-player GTA V save files for some players, making them unplayable, mechanically broken, or skipping ahead over large portions of the story.

South Park: The Stick Of Truth Gets Release Date & New Media
It's been a long and bumpy development cycle for Obsidian's licensed RPG, South Park: The Stick of Truth. Originally announced in late 2011, the project went through some uncertain times after the bankruptcy of THQ, who was originally slated to release the game. Since then, Ubisoft has been confirmed to be taking over publishing duties, and now, the title finally has a concrete release date.

Full Just Dance 2014 Tracklist Announced
Just Dance 2014, the latest main entry in Ubisoft's mega-popular party game series, is on track for its initial October 8 release on the Wii, Wii U, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3, with Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions also slated for each console's respective launch. Now that release day is little more than two weeks away, the publisher has fully pulled back the curtain regarding what songs players can expect to boogie to.
