Blizzard Re-Opening Overwatch Beta Next Week
Overwatch, Blizzard's upcoming team-based shooter, is still planned for release sometime this year, and previously had a closed beta in October 2015. Now, interested fans eager for another sneak peek are in luck, as Blizzard has opened up registration for a second closed beta that is planned to start on February 9. Besides the gameplay balance tweaks one would expect, this latest beta will also offer two new maps to play on, a revamped progression system, and additional private match options, including the ability to fight entirely against A.I. characters for practice.

Nintendo Details New Features In The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD
While Zelda fans are likely more eager than anything else to finally get more info on the series' brand new Wii U entry promised for release later this year, let's not forget that The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD is now only one month away from its March 4 release on the Wii U. The idea of replaying Link and Midna's 2006 Wii and Gamecube adventure in full high-definition is nice on its own, but Nintendo recently lifted the veil on several new enhancements and features the remaster will bring for returning fans.

Rock Band 4 Brings Psychonauts Accessories And Many Fixes With New Update
Harmonix said before the launch of Rock Band 4 in October that they were planning to support the game through frequent patches and song DLC rather than planning a fifth title, and that still appears to be the case. While there's still no word on any noteworthy new mechanics like the introduction of Brutal Mode in December's update, the latest patch, available today on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4, offers a myriad of technical improvements and a fun nod to another franchise.

Final Super Smash Bros. DLC Characters Releasing Wednesday
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS have seen a healthy amount of downloadable additions, from formerly absent returning fighters, characters completely new to the series, additional accessories to customize Mii Fighters, and several new stages to battle on. Now, the stream of new content for the 2014 fighters is about to end in a big way, with the final two new fighters set to simultaneously launch across both games on Wednesday, February 3 in North America and February 4 in Europe.

New Trailer Showcases Kim Wu’s Return To Killer Instinct
Microsoft and developer Iron Galaxy remain hard at work providing new content for the Xbox One revival of Killer Instinct. The game's latest batch of DLC, being referred internally as Season Three, has already had three characters confirmed in the form of returning fighters Tusk and Kim Wu, along with the surprising appearance of Rash from the Battletoads series. Today, Microsoft has officially unveiled Kim Wu via a new gameplay trailer. The female warrior, who previously appeared in Killer Instinct 2 back in 1996, seems to be bringing a more comical mood to the game. A self-described 'demon ass-kicker', she will make use of a dragon spirit in combat to deliver many of her attacks.

Def Leppard’s New Music Video Debuting In Guitar Hero Live
Activision and FreeStyleGames are continuing their commitment to add new material to GHTV, the unique song streaming service that delivers downloadable content for last year's Guitar Hero Live. The latest batch of songs added to GHTV's on-demand Premium Shows include familiar faces like The Strokes and Fall Out Boy, but the most notable addition is three songs by iconic British rock group Def Leppard. Longtime fans of the band can play their classic tune 'Rock of Ages', but 'Let's Go' and 'Dangerous', two recent tracks from the group's self-titled 2015 album, are also included, and as a bonus, GHTV will be the first place fans can view the music video for 'Dangerous'.

Nintendo Removing Controversial Elements For English Version Of Fire Emblem Fates
Fire Emblem Fates is still on track for its February 19 North American release date, but has already been available to Japanese 3DS owners for some time, originally launching there on June 25 of last year. Early impressions seem to indicate that the game retains many of the same great features 2013's Fire Emblem Awakening contained and more, but a new aspect players discovered in that original version has become a hot topic of controversy and discussion, along with plenty of speculation regarding how the English version will handle it.
