All is right in the Spider-Verse, at least for the moment. The mega-media conglomerates Disney and Sony have worked out their issues and not only will Spider-Man feature in a Marvel Studios-produced third film that will supposedly wrap up the character's MCU arc, but he’ll also appear in one other Marvel Cinematic Universe production.
The CW’s Arrow is gearing up for its eighth season, which will also be its last. As the heroes of Star City prepare for their final outing together, it seems that every major character from the past is going to make a return. Dubbed something of a “Greatest Hits” season, everyone from Ollie’s sister Thea, or Speedy, as played by Willa Holland, to Rila Fukushima’s Katana, will be included.
The DC Universe streaming series Titans has just returned for its second round and so far, things are going pretty well. The first season had its share of bumps along the way and it took awhile for the show to really find its footing, as one of the biggest issues with the production was the changes to the characters. Especially during the initial episodes, things just seemed a little off. One of the major sticking points was Dick Grayson playing an older and disillusioned version of Robin, instead of transforming into Nightwing.
Spidey fans can rejoice today as Disney and Sony have, after seemingly endless negotiations, agreed to make a third Spider-Man film that is set in the MCU. The movie will complete the arc for the wall crawler that began with 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming and continued through this past summer’s blockbuster hit, Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Avengers: Endgame has been nearly universally praised since its release this past April. It successfully capped of the 23-film Infinity Saga as well as providing cathartic ends for most of the main cast. There are, however, a few exceptions to this. One of the most notable is the treatment of the Incredible Hulk. The Green Goliath’s transformation into his “Professor Hulk” persona left many scratching their head. It didn’t seem to fit with the overall arc angriest Avenger had been traveling. But, the creative team behind the decision stand behind it, and are even doubling down on how integral Bruce Banner and his alter ego were to the proceedings in Endgame.
The return of The CW’s Arrowverse is nearly here. Excitement is high for the franchise, too, as this year’s crossover event, "Crisis on Infinite Earths," is going to be the biggest yet. So much focus has been given to the adaptation of, perhaps, DC’s greatest event series though that the storylines of the individual shows have been a little forgotten. Fans of The Flash, in particular, have been left in the dark, as so much of that series' future hinges on the aforementioned "Crisis."
Bruce Campbell is one of the most recognizable character actors in the business today. He’s been working in films and television, in one way or another, since the 1970s and in that time, he’s starred in everything from the original Spider-Man movies to TV genre fare like Xena: Warrior Princess (he plays Autolycus and it’s even more amazing than you’re imagining). However, his most famous role is likely Ash Williams in Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead franchise.
