Earlier today, we heard some news about several potential titles for Zack Snyder's currently shooting Justice League movie. Among the many monikers were Justice League: United and Justice League: Angels and Demons. It appears, however, that Warner Bros. is keeping it simple for this one though, as co-head of the studio's DC Films division, Geoff Johns, has revealed that the title will simply be Justice League.
When Agent Carter was cancelled by Marvel and ABC earlier this year, no one was massively surprised. Ratings were never particularly high and steadily declined over two years, while the decision to focus more on Peggy's struggle with being treated badly by men in the workplace (which never made much sense given her actions in Captain America: The First Avenger) rather than showing her being a badass spy who helped create S.H.I.E.L.D. never made a whole lot of sense.
The last update we had on the long rumoured Venom movie is that it's still in development, but is being produced solely by Sony Pictures and not Marvel Studios. That means it won't be set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe or feature Spider-Man, but its biggest issue is the fact that Matt Tolmach and Avi Arad are going to be involved.
The latest issue of Total Film magazine may include some very interesting new intel on Suicide Squad, but it's Matt Damon's Jason Bourne who has taken centre stage on the cover!
More Suicide Squad images from the latest issue of Total Film magazine have found their way online this evening, and they offer up an intriguing look at several members of the impressive cast who will assemble in what's set to be the first ever superhero movie that's all about the supervillains.
Arrow has been very hit and miss when it comes to villains, especially over the past two years. While the show kicked things off in style with the Dark Archer and Deathstroke, Ra's al Ghul and Damien Darhk ended up disappointing, so fans are obviously hoping that the show's fifth season will be a return to form in terms of the main bad guy.
Oh dear, it really doesn't seem to be a very good week for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. It all began when news surfaced that the film would be undergoing reshoots as Disney had issues with the first cut. Of course, that sent the internet into a frenzy, with many people concerned that Gareth Edwards' film was having problems. The studio soon cleared up the confusion though by announcing that the reshoots were simply to make room for a "special cameo."
IMAX has released a new poster for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows, and it features the heroes in a half shell alongside human allies Casey Jones and April O'Neil.
Warner Bros. has announced that the second season of The Flash will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on September 6th, just in time for The CW series' third season. All 23 episodes (and one instalment of Arrow) will be included, and after all the twists and turns in the show this year, re-watching it to pick up all of the hidden clues will be a must.
Marvel Studios has quietly reacquired a number of characters in recent years, including Daredevil, The Punisher, Blade, Ghost Rider, and more. However, one superhero who has remained something of a mystery is Namor the Sub-Mariner, with some claiming that the rights are held by Universal Pictures and Kevin Feige saying only that it's "complicated."
