Leaked footage from Captain America: Civil War's D23 trailer revealed that Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch will be on Team Cap in the highly anticipated 2016 movie. However, just because we now know the sides each of the heroes has chosen doesn't mean that the plot of the first Phase 3 movie is any less secretive.
Grant Gustin has Tweeted out a brand new poster (seen below) for the highly anticipated second season of The Flash this week. It's hard to say for sure what exactly is going on though; has Barry lost control of the Speed Force, or could this electrifying poster have something to do with Earth-2? Time will tell.
Ahead of the release of Fantastic Four, Josh Trank sent out an email to the cast and crew claiming they had made the best comic book movie in years. One cast member (most likely Miles Teller, seeing as he and Trank allegedly very nearly came to blows on set) replied with, "I don't think so," and the unpredictable director would later go on Twitter to disown the reboot.
Because one comic book movie franchise (Guardians of the Galaxy) isn't enough, Zoe Saldana - who is of course also a prominent part of the Star Trek franchise - has now joined the cast of I Kill Giants. Academy Award winning short film director Anders Walter (Helium) is set to helm the graphic novel adaptation, while Chris Columbus (Harry Potter) is producing.
Guardians of the Galaxy was packed full of fun nods and Easter Eggs from the cosmic side of the Marvel Universe, and that's no doubt due to the fact that writer and director James Gunn is a huge fanboy. He managed to cleverly insert loads of references which only the most diehard comic book readers would appreciate, and that's definitely at least one of the reasons why the movie is so well-loved.
As is the case every year, this Fall will see the debut of countless new shows. Just some of those on the way include small screen continuations of movies like Limitless and The Minority Report, as well as even more comic book adaptations in the form of Lucifer and Supergirl. Throw in original dramas like The Bastard Executioner, Blindspot, and even a new take on The Muppets, and we're all going to be very spoiled for choice.
