Though Deadpool and Wolverine shared the screen back in 2009's dreadful X-Men Origins: Wolverine, that film is best not remembered. For many fans, the two iconic characters have never truly teamed up together in a movie and that's an absolute shame. When Ryan Reynolds brought Wade Wilson back last year to tremendous success though, many assumed a crossover would now happen, but that doesn't seem to be the case. And, with Hugh Jackman hanging up the adamantium claws for good after Logan, it sadly may never come to fruition.
The last time we saw Jason Vorhees on the big screen, it was in the 2009 reboot which may have made a healthy profit, but certainly didn't sit well with fans or critics. However, being Hollywood, money talks and of course, another Friday The 13th film was ordered up. This one's set to be yet another reboot (cue eye roll) and will apparently act as an origin story of sorts, showing us how Jason became the killer we know him as.
The way female characters are portrayed in superhero movies often varies greatly in quality, especially when they're more often than not relegated to being love interests for the male lead and nothing more (something which now looks set to change thanks to Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman). As a result, for every Peggy Carter and Pepper Potts, there's...well, the sort of characters you'll find listed here.
Before James Gunn's 2014 film, the Guardians of the Galaxy were C-list heroes, perhaps even D. But then Marvel introduced them to the general public and, well, we all know how that went. The ragtag crew are now some of the most loved characters in all of cinema and will soon be seen in a sequel this spring.
Members of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 cast have already started reporting to the Atlanta set of Avengers: Infinity War, but we now know that one of the former franchise's newest additions will also show up in the highly anticipated flick. That would be Pom Klementieff, the actress who will play the role of Mantis in James Gunn's upcoming sequel.
Last week's episode of Arrow concluded with Oliver Queen being saved by Talia al Ghul after he'd earned the wrath of the Bratva in season five's flashbacks. She now looks set to aid him in his mission to take down Constantin Kovar, though it's important to note that it's been mentioned in the present day that she must have played a role in training Prometheus.
The Walking Dead returns for the second half of its seventh season on February 12th, and AMC wants you to know all about it. After a month or so of radio silence from the show, the marketing has picked up again and now, after receiving a batch of new stills from the upcoming midseason premiere, we've got a brief, yet tantalizing promo that teases what's to come.
Though Marvel is still struggling with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., even despite introducing Ghost Rider into the mix this year, they're certainly having no trouble at all with their Netflix efforts. Ever since Daredevil hit the streaming service, it's been one hit after another, with Jessica Jones and Luke Cage following suit, making it 3 for 3 for the studio. Next out the gate is Iron Fist, which is the final piece of the puzzle before the sure to be epic team-up series The Defenders.
It's been almost 6 years now since the Harry Potter films concluded, with the final entry hitting theaters in July of 2011. Despite rumors and speculation, the original, core cast have still not returned to reprise their roles in any type of spinoff, prequel, sequel or anything of the sort. That doesn't mean it won't happen though, and while we're not sure if everyone would be on board to return to the iconic world of witchcraft and wizardry, Tom Felton certainly would.
With a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes, Doctor Strange is a bona fide hit for Marvel. Not that we needed any further confirmation of that, mind you. The film is the biggest single character launch for the studio and has also smashed through numerous box office records. It wasn't perfect, to be sure, but director Scott Derrickson delivered a wholly enjoyable outing that introduced the general public to the Sorcerer Supreme in an exciting way.
