After the mixed (well, mostly negative) response to Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, DC fans pinned their hopes on Suicide Squad. Sadly, that too failed to deliver, and even the much talked about Extended Cut didn't improve on the messy theatrical version which apparently went through as many as seven different edits. As a result, it should probably come as no surprise to learn that the Screen Junkies team has now taken aim at Suicide Squad in one of their brilliant Honest Trailers.
This may be a bold claim, but Matthew Vaughn's Kingsman: The Secret Service was one of the best comic book adaptations of the past decade. Though it didn't feature any iconic heroes and boasted a relative newcomer (Taron Egerton) as its star, the film managed to blow everyone away, delivering an entertaining, stylish and subversive adventure that left audiences begging for more.
With various reports pointing to the first trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming being released alongside Rogue One: A Star Wars Story later this month, anticipation for our first look at the reboot is at an all-time high. While we wait for it to premiere, the logo for the movie has now been updated, and you can check it out below.
As you no doubt know by now, the newest trailer for James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was a huge success. As far as previews go, it's probably one of the best we've seen all year, teasing the film's humor, action and chemistry between the main cast without giving away anything at all about the plot. It resulted in a very tantalizing look at the upcoming sequel and allowed fans to rest assured that it'll be every bit as good as its predecessor was - if not better.
Still reeling from that explosive Westworld finale? Yeah, we're right there with you. Bloody, brilliant, beautiful and everything we hoped it would be, the final hour and a half of HBO's newest hit series was an incredible piece of television, one that satisfied so many of our burning questions but also left us with so many more.
Upon release, David Ayer's Suicide Squad proved to be pretty divisive. Among other things, people took issue with some of the costumes that the characters sported, especially Jared Leto's Joker. With tattoos covering his body and a grill in his mouth, it was certainly a different look for the iconic villain, and one that fans didn't take too kindly to.
Earlier today at Comic-Con Brazil, Netflix announced that they'll be bringing back Luke Cage for a second season. While not exactly surprising news, given how well the first outing did, not to mention the character's upcoming role in The Defenders, it's still great to hear - especially because season 1 left us with quite a few questions.
With Rogue One: A Star Wars Story now less than two weeks away, it's all hands on deck over at Disney as the studio makes their final marketing push to ensure that each and every person on the face of this planet knows that there's a new Star Wars film on its way - or at least, that's how they've been making it seem, given the assault of trailers, clips, promos and posters we've been subjected to lately.
A little earlier today, we got our first look at Thor: Ragnarok courtesy of some leaked promo art. As exciting as that may be, it's important to note that Chris Hemsworth's contracted appearances as the Marvel Cinematic Universe's God of Thunder are nearing an end, and if he decides not to stay on, this world will be left without a Thor.
The last time we saw Carl in The Walking Dead, he was hiding out in the back of one of Negan's supply trucks. As fans of the comic books will know, that culminates with the youngster gunning down some of the villain's men before he's apprehended by the baseball bat wielding psychopath and given a tour of his home.
