Still reeling from that explosive Westworld finale? Yeah, we’re right there with you. Bloody, brilliant, beautiful and everything we hoped it would be, the final hour and a half of HBO’s newest hit series was an incredible piece of television, one that satisfied so many of our burning questions but also left us with so many more.
Throughout the 90 minute instalment we discovered just what the maze is, found out the Man in Black’s true identity, learnt what really happened to Arnold and laid eyes on Ford’s final narrative. And that’s only touching on a portion of the events that occurred. There was so much happening in this episode that it’s probably going to take a few more viewings to really digest it all.
It’s a good thing then that we’ve now got some brand new photos to help us relive some of those aforementioned moments, as HBO has debuted several images from the finale that show off Ford, Dolores, William and more, depicting some of the most important moments from the shocking episode. They won’t necessarily answer any lingering questions you still may have, but they will help with the withdrawal that’s about to set in.
Yes, Westworld has been confirmed for a second season, but it’ll likely be some time before it arrives. That’s alright, though. Evan Rachel Wood was correct in saying that it’s only in season 2 that the show will truly begin, and now that we have an idea of where things will be headed when it returns, we can rest easy knowing that the sophomore outing will be just as, if not more impressive than what we just saw.
