Season three of The Flash looks set to be the most monumental yet as The Fastest Man Alive faces the ramifications of his decision to travel back in time and save his mother from being murdered by the Reverse-Flash. When Marvel Studios brought Thor: Ragnarok to this year's San Diego Comic-Con, the movie hadn't been shooting long enough for them to show any footage off. Luckily, Taika Waititi had put together a brilliant mockumentary (which has since been released online) revealing what the God of Thunder was up to during the events of Captain America: Civil War.
We're now getting closer and closer to the release of Doctor Strange, the final comic book movie of 2016. After the tepid response to the likes of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad, and X-Men: Apocalypse, expectations on the movie to make fans happy are high, while it also needs to set up a new franchise for the Sorcerer Supreme.
Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston has been suggested for many roles by comic book fans over the years, but the Emmy award winning actor has yet to sign up and star in one despite showing a great deal of interest in the genre. If you keep up with the gossip columns, you'll know that Kick-Ass star Chloë Grace Moretz recently broke up with boyfriend Brooklyn Beckham. Today is Batman Day, and following the release of that very cool shot of J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Jim Gordon in Justice League, Warner Bros. has released a brand new poster for The LEGO Batman Movie. It doesn't exactly reveal much, but it does include a cool new shot of the hero along with a fun tagline which definitely serves as words to live by!
The Justice League cameos in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice were very hit and miss, but based on what we've seen from the former so far, all of the heroes will be sporting new costumes when the movie rolls around (aside from Wonder Woman and Superman).
Mary Elizabeth Winstead most recently impressed audiences with her role in the claustrophobic thriller 10 Cloverfield Lane, but the actress has now signed on for a starring role in the highly anticipated third season of Fargo. She joins an already excellent line up which is made up of names like Ewan McGregor (playing two brothers) and Carrie Coon.
Considering the fact that Doctor Strange is now less than two months away, it's surprising how little we still know about the next Marvel Studios movie. While it's true that the marketing campaign has yet to really kick off, the studio appears to have been very careful when it comes to revealing too much about the plot.
After what many fans have described as two disappointing years for Arrow, expectations on the fifth season to deliver are obviously high. With the flashbacks now in their final year as we follow Oliver Queen to Russia and a major status quo shake up in present day Star City, it definitely seems like The CW has tried to give the show a new fresh feel for this season.
