The other day we got our first look at several of the Wonder Woman cast members shooting scenes for the Patty Jenkins-directed superhero flick around the River Thames in Essex, and now 5 more set snaps have found their way online. Once again we see Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Ewen Bremner as an unnamed British soldier, and another glimpse of the character La Haine actor Saïd Taghmaoui is playing.
The latest Disney Channel promo for J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens places the focus on the new saga droid, BB-8. In addition to seeing the little guy interact with R2-D2 (think there'll be a rivalry there?) behind the scenes, there's also some new footage of him in action with Rey, and of the Jakku scavenger piloting the Millennium Falcon.
Following last night's news that Michael Bowen has been added to the cast of Gotham season 2 as Matches Malone, Variety reports that we'll also see Lori Petty debut as a club hostess named Jeri when the Batman prequel series returns in early 2016. From the sounds of things the Tank Girl actress (last seen as Lolly on Netflix's Orange Is The New Black) will not be playing an established DC Comics character, but then again, it's always possible that's exactly what she'll turn out to be.
20th Century Fox has debuted a brand new international one-sheet for their big-screen take on Marvel's Merc With A Mouth, Deadpool. The R-rated adaptation has already received some crazy promotion via several holiday-themed images of the titular antihero, and a few viral videos courtesy of star Ryan Reynolds - but this one is arguably the funniest yet, and proves that Fox has a pretty good grasp of what makes the character so popular.
Out of all the bizarre alterations George Lucas made to the original Star Wars trilogy, making Greedo shoot first is arguably the thing that angered fans most. In the original cut of A New Hope, the green-skinned bounty hunter taunts Han Solo after cornering him in the Mos Eisely cantina, which leads to the Corelian smuggler gunning him down and making his escape. The scene has always established Solo as a pretty ruthless customer, who wouldn't hesitate to blast his way out of a situation if he felt there was no other choice - but Lucas felt it made Han seem too cold blooded, and added a shot of Greedo firing the first shot to his special edition of the film.
Hardly surprising given the popularity of the Disney XD animated series, but it's just been officially announced that Star Wars Rebels has been renewed for a third season. Things are already moving forward, and the crew of The Ghost will continue their struggle against Darth Vader and the forces of the Empire sometime in 2016.
Last night's zombie-packed instalment of AMC's The Walking Dead will be the last 'till next February, but the show definitely left us with quite a bit to digest while we anxiously await its return.
USA Today has debuted a couple of new stills from tonight's Fall Finale of Gotham, and they provide our first glimpse of House Of Cards actor Nathan Darrow as classic Batman villain, Mr. Freeze. Though the character will be introduced during tonight's episode, don't expect to see him go full-on Freeze just yet, as they're just setting up the events that lead Wayne Enterprises cryogenics engineer Victor Fries to take up the freeze gun after the death of his beloved wife, Nora, who'll be played by Kristen Hager.
Though he denied it initially, that first behind-the-scenes video that was released for Star Wars: The Force Awakens a while back confirmed that life-long fan Simon Pegg (Star Trek Into Darkness, Shawn Of The Dead, Spaced) was indeed in the film.
