Fans weren't overly enthused by the prospect of a sequel to Ridley Scott's seminal sci-fi classic, but when it was announced that Denis Villeneuve (Sicario, Arrival) was coming on board to direct Blade Runner 2049, many softened their stance. An atmospheric first teaser that recalled the aesthetics of the original also helped considerably, but since then we've been waiting anxiously for a full trailer so we can get a better idea of the all-important plot.
It was recently announced that Bryan Fuller’s highly anticipated small screen adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods would debut on Starz on Sunday, April 30 at 9:00 P.M., and following the show's extremely positive premiere at SXSW earlier this month, promotion has now kicked up a few gears. Hot on the heels of a new trailer and a batch of colorful character posters, Starz has officially released the opening credits sequence online.
Earlier tonight at CinemaCon, Warner Bros. held their panel and as expected, they brought all the heavy hitters with them. Showing up in full force was the DC Extended Universe and after hearing about the new Justice League footage that was on display, we're now learning about what the studio put forth for both James Wan's Aquaman and Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman. While neither film showed off anything too spectacular, it does sound like those in attendance still got a few treats.
Though it underwent a prolonged period of radio silence, Justice League finally revealed itself to fans in a big way last weekend, when Warner Bros. dropped an explosive new trailer for the film. Granted, it wasn't the first footage we'd seen from it, but it was by far our best look yet and we'll be damned if it wasn't a promising preview. With a fair amount of humor, some epic character moments and an overall tone that seems to be balancing things just right, it's fair to say that it got a lot of people back on board with the blockbuster.
CinemaCon has proven to be quite an experience for those in attendance, with footage being shown off from some of 2017's biggest films. While most of these screenings and trailer/clip reveals were expected, last night brought with it a surprise, as Universal decided to bring The Fate of the Furious with them, showing it off to some lucky attendees. Of course, full reviews are still under embargo, but the first wave of reactions have now made their way online, and they're overwhelmingly positive.

Though he may be getting ready to blast off for a galaxy far, far away once again this winter in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Oscar Isaac is still making room for other projects, and Deadline brings word today of one that sounds quite interesting. Titled Operation Finale, the actor has signed on to star in and produce the WWII drama, which has Chris Weitz in the director's seat.
And so, the casting of Cable saga continues today, with yet another update but no confirmation on who's going to take the red hot role in Deadpool 2. Almost ever since the character was teased for the sequel, which was over a year ago, the part has been one of the most sought after in Hollywood, with every big name actor hoping to get a shot at it. And can you blame them? Deadpool was among 2016's most successful films and the follow-up is without a doubt one of the buzziest projects in development at the moment.
