NBC's Powerless premieres on February 2nd, and with the date drawing closer, the network wants to make sure you know all about its brand new DC Comics comedy. Yes, that's right, comedy. Unlike Arrow, The Flash, Gotham, etc., this one won't feature any big name heroes fighting to save the world.
It's no secret that Logan is set to be very different not only from every other X-Men movie, but almost any other comic book movie we've seen to date. That's been made very evident throughout the film's marketing campaign, which culminated in a stunning trailer that released this past week. What we never realized, however, is that not only is Logan not following in the footsteps of its predecessors, but it's actually set in an entirely different universe than the other X-Men outings.
Much has been made about Superman's role in Justice League. Given that he died at the end of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, perhaps the biggest thing people are wondering about is how exactly he'll be resurrected. While that's something we probably won't find out until the film actually hits theaters, there are a few things that are mostly confirmed about the character at this early stage. One of which is the fact that he'll be donning his famous black suit at some point.
Well, it looks like we now know why director Tim Miller chose not to return for Deadpool 2. Though creative differences no doubt played a large part in his departure, it seems that he also had bigger fish to fry. How big, you ask? Try Terminator-level big. That's right, folks, it sounds like the filmmaker will be teaming up with James Cameron to reboot the iconic sci-fi actioner, according to Deadline.
The Wrap is reporting today that Warner Bros. is eyeing Ryan Reynolds, Tom Cruise, Bradley Cooper and more for the role of Hal Jordan in Green Lantern Corps. The full shortlist is said to consist of the aforementioned three actors along with Armie Hammer, Joel McHale and Jake Gyllenhaal. No word yet on who the frontrunners are, but this is definitely exciting news, especially as Reynolds may get another shot at playing the character after the doomed 2011 film.
Season 4 of Sherlock just ended this past weekend, but already fans are worried about the future. It's understandable, too, given how up in the air everything seems to be at the moment. Star Benedict Cumberbatch is becoming quite a hot commodity in Hollywood and it's getting tougher to find time in his schedule to shoot the BBC show. Not only that, but apparently the actor and co-star Martin Freeman aren't too close and neither are terribly interested in doing more Sherlock.
When we last saw Rick Grimes and co. in the closing moments of the midseason finale of The Walking Dead, they had decided to finally rally the troops and stand up to Negan and his army of Saviors - but a recent "All-Out war" synopsis for the final batch of season 7 episodes made it very clear that this was not going to be an easy task.
As The Fault In Our Stars director Josh Boone heads into pre-production for 20th Century Fox's New Mutants movie (which is apparently going to be titled, X-Men: The New Mutants), we continue to get the occasional tidbit of information that gives us a better idea of what to expect from the Jr. X-Men flick, and this latest one is very interesting indeed.
Deadline is reporting today that DC's upcoming Shazam will be split into two films, with one focusing on the titular hero and the other on Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam.
As you've no doubt heard by now, the season 4 finale of BBC's Sherlock was kind of a letdown. The episode was far from the iconic detective's best outing, giving us a story with more holes than a piece of Swiss cheese and an unsatisfying conclusion to what's been a wholly mediocre season. But at least the ratings were strong, right? Well, not so much actually.
