Jim Carrey cemented his status as a comedy icon with some unforgettable roles in the '90s. One of the most memorable ones was as pet detective Ace Ventura, whom Carrey played in the original movie featuring the character and its successful sequel. And now, according to sources close to WGTC - the same ones who told us Bill Murray was returning for Ghostbusters 3 and that a Scream reboot was in development, both of which have since been confirmed - the actor may be reprising the titular role for Ace Ventura 3.
2019 saw the culmination of a couple of gigantic global franchises in the form of the series finale of Game of Thrones and Avengers: Endgame. Now, a new source has claimed that arguably the longest-running global franchise of modern times, The Simpsons, may be ending soon as well. And the source behind this information is none other than the show's theme composer Danny Elfman, as he revealed during an interview for Joe.ie:
The modern iteration of the movie version of Lex Luthor as played by Jesse Eisenberg received a mixed reception, to say the least. The character was criticized for a variety of reasons, from not looking like the classic version of Luthor to Eisenberg's twitchy, nervy performance that more closely resembled the Joker or Riddler than Superman's calm, calculating arch-enemy. And now, according to sources close to WGTC - Eisenberg is done playing the role and Warner Bros. will recast for future movies.
Matt Reeves' The Batman is one major superhero movie that everyone's excited about. It's been promised to be a much more intimate, psychological take on the Dark Knight that shows his detective prowess in a case of epic proportions. Naturally though, for a movie with a mystery at its core, there are a lot of suspects, who are comprised in this case of multiple villains from Batman's rogues gallery, all played by major actors.
Disney is slowly but surely working towards getting together the full cast for their live-action Dragon Ball movie based on the massively popular anime and manga of the same name. With Hollywood's last attempt at adapting the franchise resulting in box office failure and drawing criticism for putting white actors in Asian roles, Disney's apparently taking care to cast Asian actors in the leads this time. And according to our sources - the same ones who told us the Mouse House was developing an Aladdin sequel and that a Green Lantern show was coming to HBO Max, both of which we now know to be true - Henry Golding of Crazy Rich Asians fame is on the studio's wishlist to play Vegeta.
Avengers: Endgame was a long film, but considering the number of plotlines and characters it was juggling, what we got to see onscreen was actually a pared-down version of an even longer narrative. With fresh deleted scenes making their rounds on the internet recently, it's become clear that certain moments in the movie had been initially intended to have significantly different implications. Like Tony and Peter's reunion and the scene where the nature of the Snap is revealed, teasing the possibility of the return of Thanos.
