Yesterday's SMITE patch released Isis, Goddess of Magic, onto the battlefield. Isis is a ranged, magic based God whose basic attacks deal magic damage and scale with her magic power. Her basic attacks also utilize a three-swing chain, with the final attack doing increased damage and area of effect, but cannot lifesteal or critically hit.
As the final day of the League of Legends Freljord event comes to a close, Riot Games has decided to release a Champion Spotlight of Ashe, leader of the Avarosan Freljord tribe. The spotlight demonstrates Ashe's abilities, tips and tricks, and preferred ability, rune and mastery builds.
Based off the computer-animated television series produced by 41 Entertainment, Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures transforms the Pac-Man universe into an entirely new entity. No longer is Pac-Man funneled by tight corridors and stuck in a dull setting; his newest adventure will feature a fully 3D environment and new “powered up” game mechanics. Betrayus and his pack of mischievous Netherworld ghosts are attempting to take the Pac-World by force, and Pac-Man is its only hope.
Anomaly 2 expands upon its predecessor and creates a unique take on “tower offense”. There are no major issues with the game; it's quite polished and does what it intends to do very well. However, the lack of a compelling story and the complex game mechanics, at later levels, have the ability to drive away a certain demographic. This is one game that RTS and tower defense fans shouldn't pass up, especially considering the meager price tag.
When it comes to racing games, the GRID series is amongst the best. The first game offered a truly exciting and at times, exhilarating driving experience. The sequel, GRID 2, boasts exotics locations like Abu Dhabi and Paris and will also include cars from the past four decades. Additionally, Codemasters has also developed a new handling system which they are calling TrueFeel. They claim it will achieve the perfect balance between realism and accessibility. If you thought the first GRID controlled well, just wait till you get your hands on this one.
Yesterday, Team NINJA confirmed that Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate will be released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game will be published by Tecmo Koei America this Fall and will be available in digital download and retail form. It will contain new modes, stages, fighters and additional content derived from the Ninja Gaiden series.
The longest running space MMORPG, EVE Online, celebrated its 10th anniversary on May 6th and broke their record for the most players logged in at one time, with over 65,000. What's even more unique is that EVE Online only has one active server, which means all of those players are logged into the same universe. There are currently more than 500,000 active subscribers to EVE Online.
