I'm wheelchair bound and was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy Type 2 at an early age. This has resulted in plenty of free time throughout my life to feverishly experience and write about films, gaming, wrestling, and more.
While far from perfect, Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels haven't lost a step in this surprisingly worthy sequel to what is arguably one of the funniest films of the last 20 years.
Following up the first entry in this mini-documentary series covering the development of WWE 2K15 is a video exploring what has changed from a gameplay standpoint, instead of touting the graphical overhaul and presentation. There is still a good bit of footage of Sami Zayn and Cesaro performing motion capture for a wide variety of moves, but the bulk of this one is about transitioning WWE 2K15 from its arcadey roots into a full-blown simulation of a real wrestling match.
Not only is Still an intense look at a father's tragic descent into madness over losing his son, but it's also a surprisingly, extremely competent film from first-time director Simon Blake.
Way back on July 3rd, I reported that broken down celebrity Lindsay Lohan was filing a lawsuit against Rockstar Games because an anorexic supporting character addicted to drugs in Grand Theft Auto V resembled her. Of course, none of us probably thought of Lindsay Lohan while interacting with the Lacey Jonas persona. She's completely delusional and desperately willing to do anything to remain in the spotlight. Meanwhile, Rockstar developers probably took turns wiping their ass with the lawsuit.
Up until now, Ubisoft has really only demonstrated how Assassin's Creed: Unity will be different from every other game in the franchise. Basically, it's just another year in the history of Assassin's Creed, although to be fair, last year's Black Flag was fairly refreshing thanks to the pirate themed gameplay that felt like Grand Theft Auto with ships. So in all honesty, maybe Unity and its co-operative stealth based missions will reinvigorate the fun of the franchise once again.
Guardians Of The Galaxy: Fantastic superhero science-fiction film about a group of unlikely heroes that come together to save the universe. Even the title just rolls off the tongue and feels right to say. Apparently not overseas in eastern territories, as director James Gunn revealed via Twitter that Guardians Of The Galaxy will be known as... wait for it... you know what, this title is so absurd and hilarious it deserves to be typed out in its own line
Shia LaBeouf is an enigma; he trashes Hollywood blockbusters he has a starring role in, often pulls head-scratching stunts like wearing a paper bag that says "I'm not famous anymore" over his head at the premiere of Nymphomaniac, and has seemingly gone off the deep end. It would take me all day to account for all of his recent shenanigans, so let's just get into his antics on the set of the upcoming World War II drama, Fury.
Earlier today, Gamestop.com was updated with a WWE 2K15 Season Pass pre-order page. It is unclear whether this is a Gamestop exclusive or not, but the goodies attached are extremely enticing.
IGN was lucky enough to get a hands-on experience with MyCareer mode in WWE 2K15, and from the sound of things, 2K has really put in the work to make it more than about restarting every match until you win. Sure, going on insane undefeated streaks reminiscent of Goldberg provides a rush, but much like the actual Goldberg streak, it isn't very fun for fans to watch.
Sherlock Holmes: Crimes And Punishments is a perfect example of only being able to recommend something to either fans of the source material or of the genre of games. It's neither amazing nor terrible but will satisfy anyone interested.
