‘I kind of wish he did’: Bill Belichick’s girlfriend retweets wish for reporter to be strangled

Bill Belichick's girlfriend retweeted a threat against a reporter.

Bill Belichick, the famously private head coach of the New England Patriots, became involved in a controversy. This came after his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, shared a tweet that expressed a wish for a sports reporter to be strangled.

The controversy started when a Twitter user posted a tweet saying, “Bill looks like he wants to reach across and strangle the life out of the interviewer. I kinda wish he did.”

Hudson retweeted this comment, and it was quickly noticed by Page Six.

The reaction from the public was fast and mostly negative. Many people criticized Hudson for appearing to support violence against a journalist, pointing out how such statements could encourage harm and make the environment unsafe for reporters.

While simply sharing a tweet may not be illegal on its own, it could be seen as encouraging online harassment or even inciting violence. The NFL, which has strict rules about behavior, might also look into the situation and possibly punish Belichick, though it is unclear what kind of punishment, if any, would be given.

This incident has hurt Belichick’s carefully managed public image. Known for being reserved and focused on football, Belichick has usually stayed out of public scandals. Holliday’s actions, however, have damaged his reputation and raised concerns about his judgment and whether his personal relationships affect his professional life. Being linked to a statement that seems to approve of violence will likely be hard to move past, no matter how the situation is handled.

As of now, the NFL has not made any public statement about the incident. However, their silence does not mean they won’t take action later. The league has previously taken strong stands against misconduct by players and staff, even in cases not directly related to football.
