Is Mel Gibson making a documentary about Jeffrey Epstein?

Don't believe everything you read on the internet.

Rumors are flying on Twitter, with claims that Mel Gibson is currently working on a four-part documentary that will cover the $34 billion child trafficking market, Jeffrey Epstein, and the Ukraine crisis. Already, people are preparing themselves for the whole thing to be blown wide open by the controversial actor/director; but is it really happening? Well, nobody seems to be able to confirm whether Gibson is working on such a project or not.

The source of these claims can be traced back to a single tweet from a user who goes by the name, Matt Wallace (@mattwallace888), although there isn’t exactly a lot of additional information or context to the claim.

“INSIDE SCOOP: Mel Gibson is making a documentary on the $34 billion global child sex trafficking market! Jeffery Epstein is the tip of the iceberg. IT’S TIME TO EXPOSE THE TRUTH!”

Who this “inside scoop” comes from, Wallace doesn’t say, but it’s not what you’d call concrete proof. However, fans of Gibson – as well as individuals who just want to see the supposed elite Hollywood trafficking ring blown wide open – were thrilled with the news. Many seem to be under the impression that if this documentary is happening, it will somehow end human trafficking for good. Others believe that Gibson might be silenced by those elites before he can finish the project.

“When the people realize that the governments are involved in child trafficking and not protecting our innocent children there will be no mercy for those responsible.”

It takes immense courage to confront the harsh reality of child sex trafficking. The truth must be exposed! Mel Gibson is a HERO!

“Mel Gibson needs to be protected 24/7 for this!!”

“No wonder Hollywood blacklisted him!

Protect Mel Gibson at all costs!”

It seems many have forgotten that the Mad Max star is not without his own controversies, too. However, this is all ignoring the most important question right now: Is Mel Gibson really making this documentary? Well, the first thing to consider is that the man himself has said nothing on the matter, and neither have any of his representatives. That in itself doesn’t really prove that he’s not making the documentary, but if we’re looking to anyone for answers it should be Gibson, not some guy on Twitter.

Secondly, the source isn’t a reliable one. Actually, everything a reliable source is, they aren’t. Wallace’s bio is pretty odd, they have written “CEO of #Twitter” although it’s hard to tell if they’re claiming to be the CEO of the site (spoiler, they’re not), or if they’ve just written it for a laugh. They are also on the council of Elon Musk. Whatever that is, it sounds cultish. On top of that, they have made numerous accusations against the likes of Bill Gates in relation to Epstein. Oh, and sometimes the account just tweets complete fabrications like this.

It’s safe to say that taking what this source tweets at face value will only lead to disappointment.

In all likelihood, this documentary is not happening, there are next to zero other sources who can corroborate these claims. Gibson has been at the center of claims like this before; earlier this year the actor was rumored to be helming a documentary on the Rothschild’s before that was proven to be a hoax. I think we can safely say the same applies here, but if we’re wrong about this, then we’ll all apologize to Wallace and join their Musk Council.
