The 2024 edition of the Disney Dreamers Academy has officially begun its application process, after which 100 lucky students across America will be arming themselves for success, courtesy of the most magical place on Earth.
At the ESSENCE Festival of Culture, Walt Disney World Resort took to the stage Sunday to reveal that applications for the Class of 2024 were officially open, and will close on Oct. 31.
But what exactly is the Disney Dreamers Academy, and how can students apply for it?
What is the Disney Dreamers Academy?
The Disney Dreamers Academy is 4-day program for high school students between the ages of 13 and 19, all of whom desire to pursue their professional dream with all the gumption of the most vigorous Disney fan. Whilst staying on site at the Walt Disney World Resort, the 100 chosen students will hear inspirational speeches, participate in immersive career development workshops, and otherwise learn from Disney Cast Members, industry experts, and community leaders on how to achieve their professional goals.
While applications are open to all high school students between the ages of 13 and 19, the program chiefly seeks to uplift students from Black and other underrepresented communities in the country.
How can I apply for the Disney Dreamers Academy Class of 2024?
To apply for the Class of 2024, simply access the application form on the official Disney Dreamers Academy site here, fill it out, and either send it by mail or online to the appropriate address. The form contains a number of questions that applicants must answer to be considered for the Class of 2024, including three essay questions and three questions that must be answered in short-form.
