If a new listing on Amazon’s French website is correct, a PC version of Grand Theft Auto V will be headed our way sometime in the near future.
The French GTA V PC listing, which was first discovered by NeoGAF user ComputerMKII, includes the title’s official box art and a note that the unannounced port will be “available soon” for 49.99 Euros. Additionally, the website states that the game will run on Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7 operating systems.
Officially, Grand Theft Auto V is a current-gen console exclusive for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, so this listing should not be taken as a confirmation that a PC version is in the works. With that said, this is not exactly the first time that such a port has been mentioned.
Back in May of this year both Amazon.de and the German retailer GamesOnly briefly listed a PC version of GTA V. More recently, Nividia Senior Director of Investor Relations Chris Evendon accidentally mentioned the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V during an earnings call with investors last month.
It is also worth noting that Amazon’s German website listed, and then removed, a PlayStation 4 version of the game just last week.
Screenshots of the Grand Theft Auto V listing on Amazon.fr are posted in the gallery below (you know, just in case the page mysteriously disappears). We will keep an eye out for any additional information on non-PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of GTA V and will let you know as soon as anything pops up.
