Avalanche Studios Conducts Jungle Research, Refuses To Confirm Just Cause 3

A new video released by Avalanche studios reveals that sometime earlier this year the developers apparently traveled to Costa Rica's Braulio Carrillo National Park to conduct background research on "complex environments" for use in "future games." While the exact name of the project was not mentioned in the video, there are enough references to the Just Cause franchise to suggest that we might finally get an official announcement of Just Cause 3 in the near future.

A new video released by Avalanche studios reveals that sometime earlier this year the developers apparently traveled to Costa Rica’s Braulio Carrillo National Park to conduct background research on “complex environments” for use in “future games.” While the exact name of the project was not mentioned in the video, there are enough references to the Just Cause franchise to suggest that we might finally get an official announcement of Just Cause 3 in the near future.

Further adding to the speculation that the video is tied to the unannounced Just Cause 3, is the fact that the studio also directly mentions Just Cause 2 in the YouTube description, saying in part:

“Just Cause 2 is used as an illustration throughout this video, but the reference material collected will prove useful in many of our upcoming open world games.”

Avalanche throws in the fact that they are using some of the newly captured sky footage in Mad Max, but that is obviously nothing more than a decoy to throw us off the Just Cause 3 rumor trail. Nice try Avalanche, but we are on to you!

Technically, Just Cause 3 should still be considered a rumor at this point, so don’t get too excited until Avalanche makes an official announcement. If and when that happens, we will let you know all the juicy details as soon as they are confirmed.
