Batman: Arkham Knight marks the fourth installment of the Batman: Arkham video game series, and one of the newest features this time around is Batman’s ability to drive his iconic Batmobile.

According to a hands-on impression from VG247, you’ll be able to use the Batmobile to travel around the game’s overworld. In the series’ previous installments, Batman’s gliding ability represented the quickest method to traverse each overworld, so being able to actually use a vehicle this time around should be a nice treat.

For what we know so far, the Batmobile will come equipped with two modes: Drive and Battle. Drive Mode allows the player to drive the Batmobile across Gotham City, while Battle Mode transforms the Batmobile into a tank capable of using a chain gun and firing missiles. The vehicle is also utilized during new Riddler challenges, pitting the player in obstacle courses with moving sections. If the Batmobile builds up enough speed, it can pass these sections by driving on the sides of buildings and walls.

Batman: Arkham Knight is developed by Rocksteady Studios and will be released on June 23 for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. Tell us, are you excited to step into the Caped Crusader’s iconic vehicle? Sound off below!
