Blizzard’s Titan Won’t Be At BlizzCon 2011

A few years ago, someone at Blizzard accidentally let slip that they were working on a new MMO, codenamed Titan. While everyone expected it to appear at the following BlizzCon, it didn't. Nor the year after that. Now Blizzard has confirmed we won't be hearing anything about it this year either.

A few years ago, someone at Blizzard accidentally let slip that they were working on a new MMO, codenamed Titan. While everyone expected it to appear at the following BlizzCon, it didn’t. Nor the year after that. Now Blizzard has confirmed we won’t be hearing anything about it this year either.

In a statement to IGN, Blizzard representatives cleared the air that their “unnannounced MMO” will not make an appearance at BlizzCon 2011, scheduled to run in the Anaheim Convention Center on October 21 and 22.

I find this quite odd. Every BlizzCon has had some sort of major announcement, be it the StarCraft II trilogy or another World of Warcraft expansion. Since we won’t be hearing anything of Blizzard‘s unannounced games, could we maybe get a release date for Diablo III at last?

I have to give Blizzard props though. One of the biggest mistakes they’ve always made is announcing their games too early, and leaving everyone hanging on release for far too long. This is why millions are foaming at the mouth with any Diablo III info. Blizzard will announce Titan when they know they should, and not before then.

What say you, gamers? What do you think Blizzard will announce?
