Assuming the Achievements are in order, one of the first things that players will do is to rescue Woods (from the original Black Ops). Presumably this will take place in a flashback mission and not in the main near-future setting of Black Ops II, when Woods is the creepy old man seen in the game’s debut trailer.
It also appears that there might be some sort of time travel involved in the game, as the “Back in Time” Achievement is described as using “a future weapon in the past”.
Call of Duty is no stranger to having in-game segments that take place during different time periods, however, straight up time travel does not fit within the existing franchise. Hopefully this ends up being something along the lines of using a custom “future” loadout in one of the game’s “past” missions.
