In other news, Deep Silver have also revealed details of a pre-release merit system that players can already start to benefit from. Simply visit Homefront-Game.com and you can begin earning Merits by completing missions on the site to dive deeper into the lore of the universe. Each Merit earned will unlock corresponding piece of Combat Gear from the Red Rebel set, which can be used to customize your co-op character in the full game’s Resistance Mode.

Once merits are achieved, players will see the associated in-game Combat Gear unlock by linking their Homefront profile to their Xbox LIVE, PSN or Steam account. Seven merits are currently available at the launch of the program, with more to come before the game finally arrives.

Homefront: The Revolution is due for release on May 17th, meaning there’s just over a month in which to grab some additional gear before the revolution begins!
