A few days after its original announcement, more details on Activision’s upcoming first-person action game, based on The Walking Dead, have been revealed.

Angel Gonzalez, the creative lead of the game’s developer Terminal Reality, expressed the company’s excitement in handling the license, saying:

“We are all fans of the show and couldn’t wait to get our hands on it. Immediately the team knew that an FPS game based on The Walking Dead was something we wanted to help bring the fans.”

As far as gameplay details, it was revealed that the sounds the player makes will play a key role in the game. Be it shooting off a gun or making their way through an environment, players will have to be careful about what actions they make, lest they draw attention and be overwhelmed by a pack of zombies, or “walkers” as they are known in the TV series. Walkers will also be able to pick players up by their scent, encouraging them to keep moving so as not to be hunted down.

The Walking Dead Video Game is scheduled for release sometime next year. We will keep you updated as more news is announced.
