Due to arrive on Wednesday, December 19 for those in Europe, New Zealand and Australia — North American racers will have to wait until December 23 — the add-on will be available to download through the PlayStation Store. And though users ran into an array of problems when trying to access the free Ignition pack shortly after launch, Evolution has assured fans that the same issue won’t happen twice.

“We know some of you have had issues downloading and playing the free IGNITION Expansion pack. If so, please try again by going to the IGNITION Tour in the game, selecting an event and then downloading the cars to play.”

Redline will introduce five spanking new set of wheels, including the Mercedes SLS AMG E-Drive, McLaren F1 LM, Renault Alpine A110-50, Ferrari 458 Speciale, and Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, all of which can be taken out for a spin across the DLC’s eleven new events. Moreover, DriveClub’s latest content pack will include five new trophies for players to unlock.

In related news, Evolution also provided a brief update on the status of the game’s free PlayStation Plus edition, which was delayed indefinitely due to launch issues — a period of time that left Sony “embarrassed.” According to the studio, the trial version and its corresponding app are still being fine-tuned, as Evolution want to ensure server performance is at its best before inviting more players onto the starting grid.

DriveClub players will be able to access Redline when it screeches onto the PlayStation Store on December 19 for those in PAL regions, while North American racers can get behind the wheel of those aforementiond supercars on December 23.
