After sitting in Steam’s Early Access scheme since March this year, Sports Interactive’s Eastside Hockey Manager has now finally emerged as a full release for hockey fans across the world. The Early Access version of the game was the first of its kind since the title was last fully available in 2007.

Sports Interactive have had continued success with their Football Manager series, and the return of its hockey counterpart will be well-received by ardent hockey fans. Miles Jacobson, the Studio Director for Sports Interactive spoke very highly of the power of Steam’s Early Access scheme:

“With Eastside having been in hiatus for such a long time, Steam’s Early Access programme provided exactly the platform we needed to get it up and running again and test it out on a global audience. Now, with nine months of invaluable user feedback and extra development time under our belts we’re ready to launch a game that we’re really very proud of. We hope the world’s hockey fans like it as much as we do.”

The game features a fully interactive management system for players to conquer including full roster and personnel management, Steam workshop integration and realistic trade negotiations among many others. Eastside Hockey Manager is the game for hockey fans who want to completely wrap themselves up in the world of their favourite sport, and we can’t wait to check it out.
