Epic Announces Fortnite Season 8 Start Time

At long last, Epic has finally announced the exact time that Season 8 of Fortnite will get underway, and we simply can't wait to dive in.

The game is (almost) afoot, as a wise old man once said.

Tomorrow, Epic Games will kick off Fortnite Season 8 which, as expected, will bring with it a pirate theme. Don’t believe us? The fourth and final teaser was released just hours ago and at long last completed the fiery skull and crossbones image.

Though we still don’t know exactly what to expect from the upcoming season, this new batch of content will surely be a refreshing change of pace from the bitter winds of Polar Peak and Season 7, while it’ll also open the door for treasure, dungeons, dragons and all sorts of pirate-related goodness. And now we know precisely when everything goes live.

Taking to Twitter earlier this afternoon, Epic announced that the update will launch at 4am EST, which also means there’ll be some downtime around then, too, as it’s applied to the game and the developer makes the necessary changes.

As exciting as that all is, the question still remains of whether or not Fortnite‘s eighth season can jump-start those declining sale figures? We’ll find out once Epic flips the switch tomorrow, February 28th, but as of now, it’s certainly looking promising.

After all, you’d have to imagine that the developer knows Apex Legends is gunning for the battle royale crown and we bet that they’ll really be stepping it up for this next season. And for those wondering, yes, Driftboards, will remain a part of Fortnite even once the update goes live. Though don’t be surprised if an entirely new vehicle is introduced as well.

Tell us, will you be diving into Season 8 this week? As always, feel free to chime in down below.
