A few snippets of new information have been released for Final Fantasy XV‘s upcoming Episode Gladiolus DLC today, including additional story details and standalone pricing. Per DualShockers, Square Enix recently updated the game’s official page with a short synopsis detailing how Gladio’s solo adventure fits into the JRPG’s existing story, but before you read on, be warned that the description contains a hefty amount of spoilers for those who have yet to see Noctis’ journey through to its end.

Picking up from the events from the group’s encounter with Ravus, Gladio leaves the group to train alongside Cor and become even more powerful. He sets on a path to face challenges by encountering larger than life monsters along the way.

If you’re unfamiliar with Cor, he’s a character met briefly during the early chapters of Final Fantasy XV who serves as a guide for Noctis and his companions, eventually helping the group to breach a military blockade erected by the Niflheim Empire. Following those events, he’s essentially never seen again, so it’ll be interesting to see what sort of relationship Gladio strikes up with the seasoned warrior, especially as the reunion will take place much further into the story than their initial encounter.

In addition to the above, Square also confirms that the first major add-on will be sold separately as well as included in XV‘s Season Pass, coming in at a relatively light $4.99. Subsequent DLC, including story episodes for Prompto and Ignis and the title’s multiplayer expansion – Comrades – will be available to buy individually too, although no price for those is mentioned.

Episode Gladiolus launches March 28 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, the same day that the proposed improvements to Final Fantasy XV‘s often-criticized Chapter 13 are scheduled to go live. You can read more about those here.
