Fancy taking a trip back to Pinehurst Youth Development Center? Yep, that really creepy place from Friday The 13th: A New Beginning. Well, luckily for you, Illfonic’s Friday The 13th: The Game has got you covered.

A free update for the survival horror title is rolling out next Tuesday and will be adding the iconic new map, along with the infamous killer Roy Burns. Both should be familiar to fans, as the pair are lifted straight out of the fifth movie from the influential slasher series.

The map will be based on the aforementioned eerie rehabilitation center, where one of the series’ protagonists – Tommy Jarvis – is committed after taking down the infamous hockey mask-wearing, machete-toting maniac. It’s also the final resting place for a handful of victims who unluckily bit the dust in the flick.

Furthermore, the update will also introduce a brand new playable character: Roy Burns, who fans may know as Jason Voorhees’ only legitimate copycat killer. Roy will come sporting some pretty unique weaponry in the form of a deadly set of gardening sheers as well as three new weapon kills, which’ll surely come in handy giving those mischievous counselors a brand new set of bangs.

In related news, we also heard this week that developer Illfonic will be updating Friday The 13th: The Game with a deadlier and more terrifying Jason via a patch that arrives next week. Not only that, but they’re said to have even more updates in the works, too, which should be revealed in short order.

Suffice it to say, it’s a good time to be a fan of Mr. Voorhees!
