Today, Kotaku broke the news that Gearbox Software has decided to go in a different branding direction with the quirky shooter, after deciding that its ties to the strategical World War 2-inspired shooter series are insubstantial. As a result, the project has become a brand new intellectual property and does not yet have a new name.
