Hideki Kamiya, the co-founder and director of Platinum Games has revealed in an interview that he’s already got ideas brewing in his head for a sequel to critically acclaimed action-adventure game ÅŒkami as well as a sequel to the Wii U exclusive Bayonetta 2.

In response to a comment made by his interviewer about a personal preference for the titular character’s haircut, Kamiya said to UK website Metro (via VideoGamer) that Platinum would “take that into account when we design her haircut when we start doing [Bayonetta] 3, if we ever make 3,” adding afterwards that “of course we want to make 3. Why should it end at 2?”

When asked if he had approached any publishers, stating his desire to make a third game in the series, he said “no, but I’ve spent a lot of time thinking in my head what that game would be. I’ve got ideas in my head for Okami 2 as well.”

Not stopping there, Kamiya even admitted that Platinum has ideas for “other Scalebounds in our heads too,” despite the Xbox One and Windows 10 exclusive RPG not having been released yet.

Well then, could we be seeing a Bayonetta 3 or Ōkami 2 as the next game to be released by Platinum after Scalebound? It’s certainly something that Kamiya wants to do.

Scalebound launches on Xbox One and Windows 10 in 2017.
