In accordance with previous reports, Square Enix has officially nailed down the latest Active Time Report for Final Fantasy XV.

It’s due to air on Saturday, January 30, and will feature Game Director Hajime Tabata and Marketing Director Akio Ofuji. Promising a fresh look at the JRPG’s gameplay and its various systems, a trio of new images have arrived today to whet our collective appetite. Come January 30, though, Square will be ready to “showcase the latest battle footage and scenes of magic.”

Perhaps what’s more intriguing than all of that is news that the latest Active Time Report will herald yet more fleeting details regarding the March event for Final Fantasy XV, where it’s expected that Square will finally – finally! – announce a release date for the long-in-development JRPG sequel, which began life all the way back in 2006 as Final Fantasy Versus XIII.

Emerging from a prolonged development, one fraught with troubles and rewrites, the jury’s still out on whether Final Fantasy XV can make a splash when it debuts later this year. Nevertheless, you can get the latest report on its progress when Square Enix hosts Saturday’s livestream via its official YouTube channel from 8 PM PST/11 PM EST on January 30.
