In a post on the Official PlayStation Blog, Mikael Haveri of Housemarque released two new videos that highlight some additional details about their upcoming title Resogun. The shoot-em-up is scheduled to launch with the PlayStation 4 on November 15th.

In the first of the two videos, the various members of Housemarque take turns explaining exactly what Resogun is. Besides being just another shoot-em-up, the team essentially tells us that the title is gaming at its absolute purist. A “what you see is what you get” approach, if you will. I particularly liked the one description about Resogun being a “game about ass-kicking,” which seems like a very apt way to describe it.

The second video posted takes a different look at Resogun as it focuses on the concept art for the title. Much like the game in motion, these designs are simply gorgeous to look at.

Besides the beautiful concept art, Haveri also points out that the level names are based around Greek and Roman mythology, which will actually help to explain each level’s theme and is a neat little feature that I wouldn’t have realized had I not watched the video.

Resogun will release exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on November 15th. Those with PlayStation Plus will be able to download the title for free for a limited time following launch.

Check out the videos above and let us know what you think about the game.
