First Light DLC Arriving For inFamous: Second Son This August

Taking to the stage at Sony’s E3 press conference this evening, Sucker Punch’s Scott Rohde announced the maiden DLC pack for inFamous: Second Son. Entitled First Light, the add-on is in fact a standalone content pack — in a similar vein to inFamous 2’s Festival of Blood — meaning you don’t have to own the game itself to access the recently announced expansion, and is pegged for release this coming August.

In terms of story, First Light will focus on one Abigail Walker, also known as Fetch, and will likely chart her rise to fame as a neon-powered conduit. And in order to provide us with a gist of the new content, Sony published this brief synopsis:

“Locked up in a prison for super powered humans, Fetch Walker is forced to relive tragedies from her past. Unravel her dark secret in Seattle while battling to escape snowy Curdon Cay and seek vengeance against those who wronged her.”

Currently, inFamous: Second Son’s First Light is without a price tag or a specific release date, though we can expect the DLC to launch exclusively for PlayStation 4 as a standalone title in August 2014.
