In the aftermath of E3, NIS America has slated its upcoming JRPG sequel Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance for a release in North America and Europe on October 6 and October 9, respectively.
Announced alongside the brand new localized trailer, the release date aligns with the one previously leaked by retailer earlier this year. Speaking of which, Disgaea 5 is already available in its native country of Japan, where the sequel launched back in March.
For the uninitiated, Alliance of Vengeance will center around the theme of revenge, putting players in control of a young, hot-headed demon known as Killia who turns against his own race Devil-May-Cry-style in order to topple the Demon Emperor, Void Dark.
According to NIS, the game will also include quirky personalities in the form of Seraphina, Usalia – Demon king of the Rabbit Rabbit World, because Disgaea – Christo and Zeroken. In terms of gameplay, the major newcomer is the new Alliance Attacks, which will allow players to dish out massive damage to enemies based on how strong their relationships are with other parties.
Fans of the longrunning tactical RPG series will be able to enact their revenge when Digaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance makes its way west this October. For more on the anticipated sequel, check out the synopsis down below.
