Fan favorite Tekken character Nina Williams has made the cut for Tekken 7, but she may not look exactly how you remember. In fact, one might be led to suspect that Miss. (or is that Ms. now?) Williams has either just tied the knot or been stood-up at the altar. She certainly looks angry enough for the latter to be true judging by the reveal trailer above.
Bandai Namco are calling Nina’s new threads the ‘Fatal Bride’ outfit, but it’s not entirely clear whether this is her default costume or a bonus one to be unlocked through other means. Either way, she’s looking rather kick-ass, and fans can now finally breathe a sigh of relief that she’s confirmed for the game. Not like there was ever any doubt in our minds though – she’s appeared in every single main instalment of the series to date.
As part of Nina’s announcement, Bandai Namco confirmed that Tekken 7 will be a part of this year’s EVO fighting game tournament, among the likes of Street Fighter V, Pokken Tournament, Mortal Kombat X, Killer Instinct and many, many more.
Tekken 7‘s only been confirmed to release for PlayStation 4 as far as consoles are concerned, but there’s been no word of an exclusivity deal like Capcom have with Sony. There’s no release date for Tekken 7 yet, but we can only imagine one isn’t far off being announced if it’s to appear at EVO.
