With today’s PSN update, comes a demo for id Software’s visceral shooter, RAGE. The mission-based demo is available now – something which has been officially confirmed by a release sent out from publisher Bethesda Softworks.

Previously released onto Xbox LIVE, the game’s demo focuses on one of the full release’s most prominent missions:

The Ghost Clan, a cult of murderous fanatics, has infiltrated the waterworks beneath the town of Wellspring with plans to poison the water supply. You are the only one with the weapons, talent and courage to stop them. While in Wellspring, you can also meet the townsfolk, try your hand in games of skill and chance, peruse the wares of the local vendors or hit the Speedway for some racing.

If you’re a fan of fast-paced and extremely action-packed first-person shooters, then it’s in your best interest to hop online and give the new RAGE demo a shot. After all, it’s definitely one of the better releases of this year. It gets my personal seal of approval.
