Thanks to the sleuthing minds at PS3Trophies, we now believe that Gearbox Software’s first Borderlands 2 expansion will be titled Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty. Yes, you read that right.

The website’s report states that three new trophies were discovered, after they were added to the game’s list through title update means. They’re of a familiar sort, tasking players with completing a story mission, finishing all of the pack’s side missions and finding all of its related regions around Oasis. Since those types of trophies were implemented into the core game, it’s tough to believe that these are anything less than real.

Going further, it’s worth noting that Gearbox forum users discovered data within the PC version of the game, which helps to prove the validity of this news.

From the sounds of things, Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty should be a part of the Borderlands 2 Season Pass program.

We’ll keep you updated as more details on the DLC emerge.
