Following on from the news a couple of weeks ago that suggested Ubisoft is on the cusp of announcing a compilation of past Assassin’s Creed games under the title of Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection, a source close to Gameblog France has provided the site with an image that appears to confirm its existence.

Considering the subtitle, it’s assumed that the compendium will bring together Assassin’s Creed 2, Brotherhood and Revelations onto one disc, all of which feature Ezio Auditore da Firenze as the protagonist. As per VG247, the collection will also supposedly include two animated films that feature the charismatic Italian: Embers and Lineage.

As far as all the important technical details go, each remaster will reportedly run at 1080p/30 fps, the latter part being rather surprising, considering the superior hardware of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

With Ubisoft still yet to confirm or deny the existence of the re-releases, which, it should probably also be noted, is said to include “reworked” textures, we still have to accept the small chance that this could all be an elaborate prank, however slim those chances may be.

Gameblog’s story has Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection down for a November release, so expect Ubisoft to confirm or deny the leaks within the coming weeks.
