Rumor: Wii U Pre-Orders To Start Industry-Wide Next Month

GoNintendo is reporting that an "anonymous source" has sent them a small image from a "Best Buy employee newsletter" stating that "industry-wide" Wii U pre-orders will start in September. Assuming the image is real, this would indicate that Nintendo is on the verge of announcing the consoles price and release date.

GoNintendo is reporting that an “anonymous source” has sent them a small image from a “Best Buy employee newsletter” stating that “industry-wide” Wii U pre-orders will start in September. Assuming the image is real, this would indicate that Nintendo is on the verge of announcing the consoles price and release date.

The image of the supposed newsletter reads:

“Customers can be Notified when Wii U will be Available for Pre-order”

Wii U cannot be pre-ordered industry-wide until September. However, through the magic of BestBuy.com, customers can sign up to be notified via email when pre-orders become available…”

There is no proof that the image is actually from a Best Buy employee newsletter, so this should defiantly be considered a rumor until The Big N officially reveals their launch plans for the HD console. With that said, we have seen a lot of unconfirmed Wii U information leak out from retailers lately, and where there’s smoke…

We will keep our eyes pealed for any official word on the Wii U, and let you know as soon as Nintendo announces their launch plans.
