New Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order Story And Gameplay Details Leak

In just a few short days, EA will finally lift the veil surrounding Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order at Star Wars Celebration in Chicago. As expected, hype and excitement levels have already started to peak among the wider fanbase, with speculation regarding story, characters and gameplay threatening to swallow the internet whole. Until the time comes for the official reveal, of course, speculation and unconfirmed rumors are all anyone has to go on, though a potential windfall of information may have just surfaced.

As per a post over on Reddit by SchrodingersWitcher, this deluge of potentially spoilerific information comes via a thread originating from gaming forum ResetEra. The post stipulates that a supposed developer on the game posted various details concerning Jedi Fallen Order on the latter website’s forums, only to later delete the account and all the supposed original leaks with it.

ShrodingersWitcher has since collated the majority of what the whistleblower posted though into a single document and dumped the lot on Reddit. You can peruse the list in its entirety via the link below, though several highlights include the following:

  • Canon

  • Basic story is already leaked in the wild (no idea where to find), better and more impressive than BF2 one.

  • Backpack companion droid.

  • Gameplay will be compared to Dark Souls, being good at parry like in Sekiro will help, you will feel like a Jedi.

  • You go from planet to planet, not completely linear but not open world either, you get to an area and explore trying to continue the narrative. (My note: he hinted in a way of upgrading your itens and finding new ones on each planet)

  • Wallrunning/parkour was hinted at.

As always, and especially in this case, given its extensive nature, the leak in its entirety should be taken with a hefty dose of salt. If true, however, we now have a much better idea of Respawn’s plans for their solo Star Wars experience. Should gameplay truly resemble that of FromSoftware’s Dark Souls, Jedi Fallen Order could well prove to be the most authentic-feeling Star Wars experience to date.

With semi-linear environments and a potential upgrade system also in place, it certainly seems as if the game will ship with several role-playing elements included, potentially providing plenty replayability. Oh, and a companion droid backpack? Yes please, Respawn.

We’ll see, come April 13th, how true the leaks are, when Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order finally receives its official reveal.
