The trailer wastes no time in showcasing the gorgeous visuals that have seen early versions of the game receive such high praise. The 3D platforming adventure takes its heroes from sprawling jungle skies to sandy, shipwrecked beaches for a stunning experience. Starring Pontius the Knight, Amadeus the Wizard and Zoya the Thief, Trine 3: The Artifacts Of Power is a direct sequel to the two previous titles in the Trine series.

Ahead of the game’s release, Frozenbyte’s Lauri Hyvärinen spoke of the studio’s pride with their engaging new title:

Just in time for the holidays, I couldn’t be happier to release Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power on PS4 right now. It’s a great experience on the couch, sharing a couple of controllers and having a laugh. Ho ho ho!

So if you’re looking for an experience you can share over the festive holidays, Trine 3: The Artifacts Of Power looks to be entertaining and competitive enough to keep the whole family happy. And who knows, perhaps it’ll even help avoid some of the unfriendly board game disasters that have ruined many a family Christmas.
