This fall, Naughty Dog will unveil the Nathan Drake Collection, the comprehensive collection of the studio’s swashbuckling series that bundles together all three entires in the franchise to date – Golden Abyss notwithstanding. Looking further afield, though, and the prestigious dev has today confirmed that the titular, cocksure hero will make his true PlayStation 4 debut when Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End launches on March 18, 2016.

In tandem with today’s formal announcement, publisher Sony noted that there will be two special editions available to pre-order, each boasting a variety of perks and in-game content. Namely, they’ll be hitting shelves in the form of the Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Special Edition and the premium Libertalia Collector’s Edition. From hardcover artbooks to a pack of Naughty Dog Points – in-game currency, essentially – both packages offer an array of extras that is sure to pique the interest of the more ardent fans, and you can check out a detailed list of the bonuses down below.

Finally, there’s also a Digital Deluxe Edition of the sequel, which heralds a host of multiplayer bonuses along with access to A Thief’s End single-player DLC. That’s right, for the first time in the franchise’s decorated history, Naughty Dog will be releasing a story-centric add-on for an Uncharted game, and speculation is already rampant as to what it might contain.

No word yet on that multiplayer beta for A Thief’s End, however, though we’ll be sure to keep you posted as the sequel eases closer and closer to launch.
