If you’re on social media, you’ll no doubt have seen #7FaveGames trending over the past few weeks. Apparently, somebody discovered that 140 characters is just about enough to squeeze in a 7 favorite-list and indeed, Twitter is now awash with everyone’s 7 favorite movies, foods, comics and television shows.

The concept is certainly easier in theory than it is in practice, and knocking out an all-time favorite list is always a challenge, regardless of the subject matter. Especially for a bunch of veteran gamers, the prospect of narrowing down the hundreds, if not thousands, of gaming experiences we’ve enjoyed over the years is no cakewalk.

Sure, we all have a few special titles that we can safely say are dear to our hearts, but compiling a list as definitive as this necessitates some brutal decisions and resisting the creation of an honorable mentions list longer than Sephiroth’s Masamune.

Nevertheless, some of the staff that comprise WGTC’s gaming division were willing to give it a shot, and each of us has spent the last few days working out our 7 favorite games of all-time. These lists are a personal compilation of games that are special to us, which is fun not only because there are no wrong answers, but also because it’s a great way to get to know the team that brings you the latest gaming news, reviews and features every week.
