1) Cable

This simply has to happen. Cable is the time-travelling son of Cyclops and Jean Grey (well, a clone of her), and he shared a series with the Merc with the Mouth for a number of years. In that, this mismatched duo went on all sorts of crazy adventures, sometimes coming to blows, but developing one hell of a friendship along the way.

With the right actor as Cable – who could be the straight man to Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool – exploring this relationship on the big screen could be tremendous fun, and there’s a wealth of material for Fox to choose from when it comes to the story which could be told featuring these two.

There’s a lot of fan demand to see Cable on the big screen, and having him show up in this sequel (which Simon Kinberg has said they’ve discussed) would be an ideal way of setting the stage for that X-Force movie.
