5 More Star Wars Characters That Deserve Spin-Off Films

I’ve always thought that Lando is one of the most interesting and complex characters in the Star Wars universe, and that he wasn’t used nearly enough in the films. Well now is the chance to give him his moment and completely flesh out the character. He isn’t necessarily one of the good guys, heck he was a pretty big scum bag at times, but the guy had morals and a code of ethics. He was extremely loyal to his friends, so that makes him okay in my book. Plus the duality to his character is part of what makes him so interesting.

What I really want to see is Lando back when he owned the Millennium Falcon. The story of Han winning the Falcon from Lando would be great, and a perfect way for the films of the universe to cross-over, especially if Disney does proceed with their plans for a stand-alone Han Solo film.

Another option would be drawing the story from Lando Calrissian and the Flamewind of Oseon, where Lando ticks off the wrong cop and things go sour. It could be adapted into some crazy story of Lando on the run across the galaxy, showing all the various places he hides out from a cop who’s out for blood. It’d be a nice way to show some of the sketchier planets in the Galaxy and a lot more of the Star Wars underworld.
