Honeymoon – Alien Slug Pulled From Vagina
Honestly, I really liked Honeymoon. I know some people may bitch about how it was slow and plodding, but in horror movies, that is often called “building tension.” Yet, for some reason, our ADHD generation seems to always find fault in it. It may also help that I was in a failing relationship with a red head who slowly lost her mind before watching it (which is pretty much the story of the film, summed up minus spoilers), so in that sense, this was a 4D movie for me. Seriously, I felt like I was watching a living scrapbook.
But I digress. So, what was so shocking about this film? Well, we know that something is wrong with the character Bea, but we do not know what exactly is going on. We know she is losing her shit, but we do not know why. It all culminates with her on her bed, yanking some tentacle from her vagina. I mean, I think it’s a tentacle.
What’s great about the movie is that it leaves a lot up to the viewer, but there is definitely something very tentacle and alien-like yanked from her vagina in what ends up being a very jarring scene that shows you just how fucked up things have become.
