Let’s be honest: there wasn’t a lot to like about Gavin Hood’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine. It’s probably one of the weakest entries in the X-Men franchise and destroyed many of its characters without blinking. Just ask Ryan Reynolds what he thinks of the movie and what it did to Deadpool…

That said, the film didn’t do too badly with its introduction of Kayla/Silver Fox to the cinematic world. Yes, it did change her mutant powers from an accelerated healing factor to manipulation and persuasion, but Lynn Collins’ character had an interesting story and twist here. At least she served a purpose to the narrative, unlike Gambit’s forced appearance.

Unfortunately, Silver Fox was killed off and Wolverine’s amnesia has prevented him from remembering her ever since. It’s disappointing, too, because she’s a character whose history we’d love to have explored further in another movie. Maybe she could still pop up in a Deadpool flick one day?
